New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) Helios and Matheson a key company in the IT sector, today announced an 89 per cent increase in net profit for the fourth quarter, (Q4) at Rs 11.29 crore.
Income for the period registered a 72 per cent rise over the corresponding quarter in the previous year and stood at Rs 62.33 crore.
Operating profit was Rs 16.31 crore reflecting an increase of 59 per cent.
Earnings per share (annualised) for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 was Rs 22.57 (post the 1:1 bonus issue of shares distributed on November 7, 2005).
Net profit for the entire year (year ending, March 31, 2006) stood at Rs 38.14 crore reflecting a 105 per cent growth.
Income for the entire year was Rs 221.36 crore, as compared to Rs 122.31 crore for fiscal year 2005, an increase of 81 per cent year on year.
Cash and cash equivalents as on March 31, 2006 stood at Rs 28.06 crore. Earnings per share was Rs 19.06. On an expanded capital base post 1:1 bonus, the company has in fact increased the earnings per share to Rs 19.06 from Rs 18.58 last year.
