Ganja seized weighing 35 kg in city

Chennai, Apr 24 (UNI) Police seized 35 kgs of ganja from a locked house of a hotel employee in Choolaimedu area in the city today.

Police said, on a tip off, a police party broke in to the house and seized the stock.

Enquiries revealed that Mrs Karuppayaee (60) of Cumbum and her friend Mrs Vannakili (35) had smuggled the contraband from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh TO sell it in the local market.

Police have registered a case and are looking for the women, who are said to be absconding.
