Chandigarh Journalists Association elects new body

Chandigarh, Apr 24 (UNI) The Chandigarh Journalists Association, affiliated to the National Union Journalists, today elected its new office bearers for a one-year term, electing Mr Haresh Vashshit of Dainik Tribune as its president.

The other elected members include general secretary Avtar Singh of Punjabi Tribune, vice persidents Rajinder Dhawan (Dainik Tribune) and Sanjeev Rampal (Dainik Bhaskar), secretaries Santosh Gupta (Saccha Netritva) and Manoj Mahajan (The Tribune) and treasurer N S Mahara (Dainik Tribune).

The elected executive members include freelancer Radhe Shyam Sharma, Sunil Dutt Sharma, Ashok Malik, Amarnath Vashishtha, Jitender Awasthi (all four from Dainik Tribune), Dhyan Singh (Indian Express), Dharam Loona (Dainik Bhaskar) and Balbir Jandu (Punjabi Tribune).
