Advani's Yatra to enter Madhya Pradesh tomorrow
Bhopal, Apr 24: Senior BJP leader L K Advani enters Madhya Pradesh tomorrow on his 'Bharat Suraksha Yatra' after covering Chhattisgarh.
He will start the Madhya Pradesh-leg of his yatra from Shahdol, where he will be reaching by a special aircraft.
He is scheduled to cover 1050 Km through Shahdol, Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Raisen, Bhopal, Dewas, Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Mandsaur and Neemuch during his week-long journey through the state before entering Rajasthan on May 1, party sources said. In between, he will join the BJP's election campaign in a few states.
Mr Advani will be reaching the state capital on the night of April 26 and address a public meeting next day.
He has cancelled his programmes in Hoshangabad and Sehore districts because of the Assembly poll in Sehore's Budhni constituency, from where Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is pitted in a 16-cornered contest.
Elaborate security arrangements are being made for the former Deputy Prime Minister during his journey through the BJP-ruled state.
State BJP President Satyanarayan Jatia and Yatra incharge Vikram Verma today inspected the arrangements made in Jabalpur city.
Besides Mr Jatia and Mr Verma, Chief Minister Chouhan and BJP leaders Anant Kumar and Kaptan Singh Solanki will receive Mr Advani at Shahdol, party sources said.
