Job reservation issue in pvt sector dead for now
Hannover, Apr 23: Giving a virtual barrier to the proportion of reservation of jobs for the private sector, the government is working on a new industrial policy which will reward the companies generating employment for the socially and economically backward people.
''We are coming out with a new industrial policy within the next few weeks which will give fiscal incentives to companies that follow the all inclusive job policy,'' Commerce and Industries Minister Kamal Nath said here today.
Another Cabinet Minister said the Group of Ministers (GoM) on Reservation Policy in the private sector has lapsed and there is nothing pending with the cabinet on the issue.
''We have asked the industry to come out with an affirmative action in the near future,'' he said.
The Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) has already setup a task force on the issue.
