EC extends date for final reply on reservation issue

New Delhi, Apr 22 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC) today said it has extended the date of receiving complete reply from the cabinet secretariat on the human resource development ministry's proposal on job reservations.

Balakrishnan said the EC had received part replies on April 18 and had set April 21 as the date for final reply.

That date has now been extended to April 24, they said.

Minister for Human Resource Development Arjun Singh has suo moto clarified his position in a letter to the EC.
