Warrant for Kushboo

Madurai, Apr 21 (UNI) A city court today issued a warrant for popular Tamil actress Kushboo in the case relating to her comments on pre-marital sex.

When the case came up for hearing, Kushboo failed to appear before the court following which Magistrate Seetharaman order issuance of the warrant.

Kushboo was in a centre of controversy following her remarks during an interview that there was nothing wrong in woman having pre-marital sex as long as they protected themselves from contracting venereal diseases. Her comments drew widespread protests from women's and other organisations and a few political parties.
