SC dismisses Jaya's petition

New Delhi, Apr 21 (UNI) The Supreme Court today dismissed a petition filed by Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Pradha, challenging the High Court order directing her to appear before the Income Tax authorities.

A bench comprising Ms Justice Ruma Pal and Mr Justice Markandey Katju, dismissing the petition, told the actress to appear before the Income Tax authorities to explain the circumstances under which she failed to reply to the notice served on her for the year 1983-84.
