BSP MLA escapes attack on life

Mau, Apr 21 (UNI) BSP MLA Kapil Dev Yadav escaped an attack on his life when former block president Manoj Rai resorted to firing following a quarrel with him Kopaganj area in here.

They allegedly picked up a quarrel at Poraghat and an agitated Rai started firing wounded six people.

Police superintendent M D Karnadhar today said the MLA and Rai were canvassing for the coming Mau block president polls last evening.

Six MLA supporters were wounded in the attack, including one seriously.

A case was later registered against 10 people including Rai.
