Three protestors killed in Nepal
Kathmandu, Apr 20 (UNI) At least three demonstrators were killed and more than 100 injured when police fired at the protestors today.
Three protestors were killed when police fired rubber bullets at the protestors, who were organising demonstration defying curfew order imposed by the government in various parts of the capital, and burst teargas shells, ''More than 12 people are seriously injured and due to the curfew it is difficult to rescue the injured,'' the Kantipur television said, adding Nepal Doctors' Association has urged doctors of respective areas to rescue the injured.
More than one lakh pople gathered at the Ring Road shouting anti-King slogans. Protesters pelted the police with stones who in return fired dozens of teargas shells to bring the situation under control.
Residents in the area spalshed water on protestors to counter the effect of teargas.
