People to fast on April 25 to protest kidnapping

Patna, Apr 20: Thousands of people would go on fast on April 25 to press the government to take stringent action to check kidnapping in the state.

Director of Oxygen, an ngo, Vinod Singh said here today that kidnapping of school children was on rise in the state.

Meanwhile, a mass prayer was organised and children took out a procession to create awareness among the people against abduction.

Last year, abduction of Kishalay had rocked the state and many soical organisations protested it.

Patna High court had constituted a high level committee to suggest measures to the state government to check the menace in the state.

The court had directed the state government to file a status report before it in the first week of May.
