Rs 38 lakh robbed from Union Bank recovered

Amritsar, Apr 20: Police arrested one person last night and recovered Rs 38 lakh from him, which was looted from the Union Bank of India branch at Fowahara Chowk in the walled city here.

The accused, identified as Jitender Singh, was a temporary employee of the bank branch, DIG (Border range) Iqbal Preet Singh said today.

He said all the money looted from the bank had been recovered from the accused who had kept the money with his relative.
