Reshuffle in Bihar adms: Amanullah new Home Secretary

Patna, Apr 20 (UNI) Senior IAS officer Afzal Amanullah hasbeen made new Home Secetary as the Bihar government in a major administrative shake up transferred 16 IAS officers.

Apart from Home, Energy, Rural Development, Water Resources departments were also reshuffled, according to a notification issued last night.

State Home secretary H C Shirohi, who was replaced by Mr Amanullah, has been shifted to the Water Resources Department.

Mr V Jaishankar was given charge of Energy Secretary. Mr Anup Mukherjee, who was waiting for his posting, has been given the charge of the Rural Development in place of Mr K C Saha. Mr Saha was now in charge of Food and Civil Supplies Department. Mr Pratyay Rai was appointed as the Managing Director Bridge Construction Corporation.

Other IAS officers whose departments were reshuffled last night include Arun Jha, Manoj Srivastav, A C Biswas, Shashi Shekhar Sharma, Arun Kumar, Alok Kumar Sinha, P K Basu, Alok Vardhan and Ajit Kumar.
