Panacea inaugurates pharmaceutical formulation plant at Baddi

New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) Panacea Biotec has announced commencement of production in their new Pharmaceutical Formulation Plant at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, with an investment of around Rs 45 crore.

The new facility is spread over 70,000 sqm and will cater to the manufacturing of oral and topical pharmaceutical finished dosage forms. It is equipped with modern equipment and machinery to meet the regulatory standards of the US, European and South African markets.

The facility has an installed capacity of 900 million tablets, 120 million capsules, 12 million ointment/gel tubes and 1.2 million litres Liquid Orals per annum.

''Our Baddi facility is equipped with ultra modern and sophisticated machines and integrated packaging lines. The plant will produce high quality healthcare products accessible and affordable for all,'' Joint Managing Director Rajesh Jain said.

The company is a research-based health management firm involved in research, manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, new chemical entities, natural products and vaccine.
