NTPC net dips 2 pc to Rs 5,706 cr in FY-06

Mumbai, Apr 20 (UNI) National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) today reported a marginal decline of 1.74 in net profit at Rs 5,706.10 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006, when compared with Rs 5,807 crore in the previous fiscal.

The company's net sale, however, increased to Rs 25,992.8 crore from Rs 22,531.6 crore and revenue to Rs 28,647.3 crore from Rs 25,546 crore in the comparable years, a company release said today.
