Moderate intensity quake in Sumatra

New Delhi, Apr 19 (UNI) A moderate intensity earthquake shook the West Coast of northern Sumatra late tonight.

The earthquake, measured 5.8 on the Richter Scale, occurred at 1407 hrs, India Meteorological Department here said.

The epicentre was at latitude 03.5 degree North and longitude 92.3 degree East, they added.
