Gang arrested for electric wire theft

Surat, Apr 20 (UNI) A four-member gang which has been stealing electric an telephone wires, high-tension cables, oil from transformers and also the transformers was arrested on Tuesday night by the patrolling team of Surat rural police.

Police today said that the gang was involved in around 26 cases of theft in Palsana, Thatitheya, Tharaj, Amroli, Haripura, Isroli, Tundi and Thadakeshwar.

The police is now lookin for the dealers who used to buy stolen articles from the gang.
