BJP yet to decide on joining Round Table Conf
Jammu, Apr 20: Jammu and Kashmir unit of Bhartiya Janata Party today accused the Centre of its secret understanding with the sepearatists groups in the valley saying it would not participate in Srinagar Round Table conference unless the agenda is made clear.
Addressing a media conference here, state party President Dr Nirmal Singh, claimed that a lot of change has taken place at the ground level situation in the valley, since the first Round Table conference was held at Delhi. BJP apprehends that sepearatists agenda is likely to be taken up in the second round of meeting to be held next month in Srinagar, Dr Singh said.
He made it clear that the party would not tolerate, if any sepearatist agenda is taken up and will not have consultation with the party's central leadership on taking part in the conference.
Dr Singh criticised the Chief Minister's claim about free and fair by-elections being held in the state, and accused the government of misusing official machinery for its interests.
He also took strong exception to the deployment of J&K armed police in the election process saying that credentials of the force are well known.
