BJP confusing people on Telangana issue: Cong

Hyderabad, Apr 20: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President K Keshava Rao today charged the BJP with ''confusing'' people by frequently changing its stand on the Telangana issue.

Senior BJP leader L K Advani, who had been maintaining the State Assembly pass a resolution before a bill could be taken up in Parliament for granting statehood, advocated consensus before changing his stand ''within 48 hours'' to support any bill in Parliament on the issue, Mr Rao told reporters here.

The BJP should make its stand clear by giving it in writing to the UPA Sub-Committee on Telangana which should take note of Mr Advani's statements while preparing its report.

On the Congress stand on the issue, he said the party will keep up its commitment made in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP).
