Bhilai receives CII Sustainability Prize

New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) was honoured with the Independent Unit category prize for the first-ever 'Sustainability Awards' sponsored by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

The Sustainability Awards is in recognition of works done in the sphere of social, economic and environmental aspects by the companies operating in the country.

BSP is a six-time winner of the Prime Minister's Trophy for best integrated steel plant in the country.

The award was handed over by the Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Kamal Nath to the Managing Director of BSP R P Singh at a function held here last evening.
