ACB raids nets Rs one crore

Hyderabad, Apr 20 (UNI) Anti-Corruption Bureau(ACB) sleuths today conducted simultaneous searches at the houses of Ramireddy Venkata Subba Reddy, Assistant Director, Mines and Geology (Nellore) and unearthed disproportionate assets worth about Rs one crore.

The properties include a three-storey building, two houses in Chandramouli Nagar, eight housing sites at Chandramouli Nagar and Padarupalli Village in Nellore District.

He had 25.84 cents of dry lands at Griddaluru Village, car (Rs 5.50 lakh), two kg gold ornaments (Rs seven lakh), household articles (three lakh), a motorcycle (Rs 42,000) LIC polices (Rs 75,000), promisory notes (Rs 33 lakh), fixed deposits (Rs 90,000), bank balance (Rs 6.27 lakh) and cash (Rs 1.31 lakh). Three bank lockers were yet to be opened.

Reddy, who was arrested, will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE&ACB Cases at Nellore, an ACB release said today.
