60 shacks destroyed in Yamuna Pushta fire

New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) Around 60 shacks were destroyed in a fire in a slum cluster of East Delhi's Yamuna Pushta area this afternoon.

Fire Department Officials said the blaze, which broke out at around 1235 hrs, was put out within an hour.

Ten to twelve fire tenders were rushed to the area to control the fire. No casualties were reported, they said.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

On April 3, six people were killed and several injured in a major fire in the same slum cluster.
