UDF-LDF secret understanding with communal parties: BJP
Palakkad, Apr 18 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party General Secretary Sushma Swaraj today alleged that both the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) and the CPI(M)-headed Left Democratic Front had ''secret understandings'' with communal parties.
Ms Swaraj, who was here to campaign for her party candidate O Rajagopal, told reporters the BJP considered the UDF its main rival in the Assembly elections in the State.
Though both Fronts were talking about development, nothing had materialised, she said, adding the people of the state were fed up with both coalitions and were thinking of a change. She hoped they would give a chance to the BJP this time.
Claiming that Palakkad was a 'lucky' district for the BJP, as it had voted the first BJP Municipal Councillor and first vice-chairman to power, apart from being the home district of its first Union Minister from the state, she said the BJP would get its first legislator from here.
Besides Palakkad, the party had chances of winning the Thiruvananthapuram, Manjeswaram and Kasaragod seats, she claimed.
