Swami Ramdev to popularise Yoga globally

Hardwar, Apr 18 (UNI) The Chinese translation of Swami Ramdev's book 'Pranayam's Rahasya' (The Secrets of Pranayam) was released in Shanghai recently, General Secretary of Patanjali Yoga Peeth Hardwar and Divya Yoga Mandir Trust, Hardwar, Acharya Bal Krishan said here.

Yoga camps held recently at Shanghai, Beijing and Taiwan were attended by large number of people, the Acharya added.

Sources in Ramdev's Yoga Mandir Trust say that guru was now planning to carry his message of Yoga and peace across the border.

What really inspired the Baba to launch his mission in Pakistan is a recent survey conducted by a leading English daily to look for the most popular Indian icons in that country. According to the report of the survey, circulated by the Divya Yoga Mandir, Baba Ramdev tops the list, with even the super star of the millennium Amitabh Bachchan and tennis sensation Sania Mirza trailing behind 'the salesman of yoga'.

After holding Yoga camps in Pakistan, the Swami will launch his mission of yoga and the unity of mankind in western countries, sources added.

Swami Ramdev said that since every one in the world wants to lead a healthy and tension free life, yoga and meditation are not only effective but also transcend the narrow boundaries of religions and countries.

Yoga was not only a mantra for health and peace but also a powerful means to foster a bond of universal love and brotherhood, Swami Ramdev added.
