Shiv Khera to mould citizens

Bangalore, Apr 18 (UNI) Qualified Learning Systems Inc Founder Shiv Khera today announced his intention to start an institution near New Delhi for moulding people to become assets of the society.

Talking to newspersons here, he said he was on a mission to provide motivation and confidence to the younger generation to make them more purposeful and useful to the society and the nation. He had decided to start such a centre only to institutionalise his talent and commitment for the betterment of the nation, he added.

Mr Khera, an internationally acclaimed orator, successful entrepreneur and author, said 8.5 acres of land had been identified for the institution, which would also serve as a world-standard yoga and meditation centre.

Lamenting that the citizens of independent India were in a worse condition than their ancestors under colonial rule, he opined that to get rid of slavery and corruption-ridden system, another freedom struggle was needed in the country. People would be trained to become 'role models' for enlightening the society, he added.

Mr Khera was here to participate in a workshop on 'Gain a Winners's Edge', organised by Spiritual Solutions Pvt Ltd of Sri Ramachandra Guruji on April 20. It was a fund-raising programme to make the Guruji's dream of starting a Yoga and Meditation training centre here come true.

Speaking on the occasion, Guruji, a recipient of 'Seva Ratna' award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Yoga and Meditation, said the workshop, to be conducted along with Mr Khera, would concentrate on critical areas that determine individual and organisational success. Mr Khera would address issues on 'How to position yourself for success', 'Do the right thing for the right reason' and 'Act with ethics and integrity in difficult situations'.

He said the sole objective of the workshop was to help people ''inject enthusiasm'' at their workplace and make them understand the importance of universal values. ''The day-long programme with Mr Khera is going to be a unique session with lots of interactive tools of learning and any individual who wants to understand the true meaning of success and walk away with an action plan on how to be a winner everyday should attend the workshop.'' Over 1,200 people have registered for the workshop, he added.
