Sena, Congress trade charges on industrial plot sale

Thane, Apr 17 (UNI) Congress and Shiv Sena activists today staged demonstrations in different parts of the city making allegations and counter-allegations on the sale of an industrial plot in Kalwa.

Shiv Sena activists, led by their local chief Eknath Shinde and MLC Anant Tare, burnt State Revenue Minister Narayan Rane's effigy alleging that the minister was involved in a scam relating to the sale of the industrial plot.

The Congress activists, on their part, burnt the effigy of Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray.
