Mumbai, Apr 18 (UNI) Rubbishing allegations of corruption levelled against him by Revenue Minister Narayan Rane, Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray today said the former was hurling accusations only to divert attention from the charges against him.

Leader of Opposition Ramdas Kadam has accused Mr Rane of causing loss to the State exchequer in the Rs 224 cr sale deal of Mukund Premier in Kurla. ''Mr Rane is making allegations just to divert attention from this issue,'' Mr Thackeray said while speaking to UNI.

''We have levelled allegations against Mr Rane with full evidence and he should reply to them,'' Mr Thackeray said, adding that Mr Rane has been making baseless allegations against him since the past one year.

Mr Kadam had alleged on the floor of the House that Mr Rane had waived off Rs 111 crore, which was to be deposited with the Government, in the sale of property belonging to Mukund Limited.
