Imphal, Apr 18 (UNI) The Rajkhowa Commission, formed to inquire into the alleged rape of 21 women by the militants and torture of a girl in police custody, will start taking statements of the alleged rape victims today.

The Commission has decided to go to the remote areas of Churachandpur district.

Human Right groups like 'Human Rights Alert' and 'HMAR INPUI' had already submitted their statements.

The Human Rights Alert, however, appealed to the state government to arrange movement of the advocates and translators to the villages where the inquiry will take place.
