Qatar's Dy PM meets PM, NSA:discusses energy, bilateral ties
New Delhi, Apr 18 (UNI) Qatar's first Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani arrived here today on a four-day official visit and held talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and National Security Advisor (NSA) M K Narayanan on various aspects of bilateral relations.
Sheikh Al Thani, who is also Qatar's Foreign Minister, is scheduled to meet Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath tomorrow.
His discussions with Indian leaders focussed on enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of energy and investment.
A statement issued by the Qatar embassy here said the visit symbolised the traditionally close and friendly relations between the two countries and the joint desire to expand and intensify the ongoing fruitful interaction between them.
Mr Narayanan also hosted a dinner in his honour.
