One runover in road accident

Barrackpore, Apr 18 (UNI) A man was killed and his son injured when a bus rammed into a two-wheeler on VIP road near Lake Town in North 24 Parganas today.

Irked by the accident, people put up a road blockade on VIP road bringing the traffic to a grinding halt. Police intervened on time, to pacify the people and lift the blockade and sent the injured to the hospital.

Police said that the incident happened when a local bus rammed into the two-wheeler failing to control while taking a turn near Lake Town.

The man was killed on the spot, police said. The killer bus could not be stopped.
