Nineteen file nominations

Pondicherry, Apr 18 (UNI) As many as 19 candidates have filed their nomination papers for the second phase of the assembly elections in Pondicherry today.

Most of the candidates who filed their papers were BJP and Independent candidates. So far 90 nominations have been fied for the second phase of the elections, where repolling will be held on May 8.

Twenty one constituencies in Pondicherry region and six in karaikal region will go to polls in the second phase on May 8, while, Mahe, Palloor and Yanam constituencies go to polls on May 3 in the first phase.
