Godhra, Apr 18: A local court today issued non-bailable warrants against Citizens for Justice and Peace activist Rais Khan Pathan and five others in a case of digging up a mass grave of post-Godhra riots victims near Panam river in Lunavada town in Panchmahal district.

Judge Joshi passed his judgement, while hearing an application filed by the District Suprintendent of Police Murthulia seeking remand warrants against Rais Khan and others as they had taken anticipatory bail from the court.

However, when none of the accused were present in the court, the Judge took serious note of the fact and issued non-bailable warrants against all the six accused.

In December last, Rais khan and others exhumed skeletal remains from a mass grave in Panchamahal district of those believed to have been killed in the post-Godhra riots, following which police had registered a case against all these six accused of tempering with the evidence.
