Left ultras blow up 3 police buildings
Chatra, Apr 18: In a daring incident CPI-Maoist ultras blew up three buildings of under construction police lines by blasting powerful bombs late last night in this extremist-affected district headquarters town.
Police said about one hundred armed ultras entered the police lines at around midnight and overpowered the two guards there. They planted several cane and cylinder bombs in five of the almost complete buildings and tried to blast them.
But they could trigger explosions in three buildings only, damaging them extensively, while the bombs in two other buildings failed to explode. No casualty has been reported so far.
Police recovered one cylinder bomb and three cane bombs from the site. Massive combing operation has been launched to nab the ultras who fled the scene after the blasts.
