K'taka extends Interest Waiver Scheme to benefit farmers

Bangalore, Apr 18 (UNI) The Karnataka Government today issued orders extending the last date for payment of principle amount upto April 30 under the Interest Waiver Scheme to help farmers.

The Finance Department issued an order to this effect, an official release here said.

It may be recalled that Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa had announced in his budget speech that the Interest Waiver Scheme would be extended to help those farmers who had not availed the benefit within the stipulated period--September 30, 2005.
