Govt hospitals in K'taka to get 500 doctors

Haveri, Apr18 (UNI) About 500 doctors will soon be appointed to goverment hospitals in Karnataka in the wake of the Finance Department giving its approval to the move, Health and Family Welfare Minister Ashok informed today.

Speaking to newspersons here, he said it was also proposed to regularise the services of 475 doctors on contract. The process of appointment of 2,750 paramedical workers would begin soon, he added.

To a question, he said orders had already been issued to all hospitals to keep medicines available on display so that people could have a look at the stock.
