Gold hits fresh 25-year high of $617.60/oz
SYDNEY, Apr 18 (Reuters) Gold traded to a fresh 25-year high of 7.60/8.40 an ounce on Tuesday as rising oil prices resurrected fears of inflation.
At 0255 GMT, spot gold was continuing to go up, quoted at 7.70 an ounce.
''We don't see gold stopping much before 0,'' a bullion dealer said.
Gold was fixed in London at 7.25 on December 8, 1980.
