Gold crosses Rs 9,000-mark, silver high

Mumbai, Apr 18: Prices of spot gold closed at Rs 9,145 per ten gm while silver rose at Rs 20,640 per kg, respectively, traders at the bullion market today said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade: Rs 20,640 (20,200), Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,100 (8,920), Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,145 (8,965).
