Gold crosses Rs 9,000-mark, silver also at new high

Mumbai, Apr 18: Prices of spot gold touched Rs 9,100 per ten gm, while silver rose to another new peak at Rs 20,450 per kg in the opening session, on bullish global advice today, traders at the bullion market said.

Following were the rates: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 20,450, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 9,055, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 9,100.
