Itanagar, Apr 18: Arunachal Pradesh Finance Minister Kalikho Pul has said that the fund for Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) would be released after the formalities are fulfilled and the ways and means have to be evolved for effective functioning of PRIs and its source of revenue in the state.
The minister, who was on a two day visit to East Siang district yesterday, expressed concern over the prevalence of individual interest over public interest, sincerity, dedication and steady eroding of the system and work culture, informed official sources here today.
The minister stressed on detailed soul searching and for making a retrospective analysis to evolve ways an means to check the causes.
He urged all to make concerted efforts and to work for the betterment of the society and the state.
The minister said the government had selected some priority sectors like road networking of the administrative headquarters, health and family welfare and education besides giving due importance on social security like police and revenue generating schemes.
