Elephants' day out in Durgapur

Durgapur, Apr 18 (UNI) Two pachyderms created an gigantic problem for the forest department officials here today after one of them fell into the Damodar river.

The officials arrived after two elephants were spotted roaming in the town from last night.

However, one animal fell into the river while being driven into the forest, putting the forest officials in a fix.

Curious onlookers gathered on the banks of the river as the elephant tried to swim in the deep waters.

Later, the animal was rescued from the river with the help of local people and released in the Dalma forest.
