193 candidates file papers

Chennai, Apr 18 (UNI) A total number of 193 candidates, mostly independents filed their nomination papers on the fourth day today for the May eight Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.

With this, 1359 candidates have so far filed papers, state Chief Electoral Officer Naresh Gupta said in a release here.

Nominations, which began on April 13, close on April 20.
