Traders demand compensation for lossses in Meerut fire

Meerut, Apr 17 (UNI) Traders here have demanded compensation from the district administration for the lossses suffered by them in the April 10 Victoria Park fire here.

The traders said they had got all the goods on display insured, but due to the destruction of evidence, they have not recieved any compensation.

Business men, who suffered losses, have said if they do not recieve relief, they might be forced to go on agitation.

A body representing traders of Meerut Brijendra Agarwal said businessmen have suffered losses due to the fire and demanded the district administration pay them compensation.
