Tata Chemicals launch 'Tata Paras' fertiliser

Lucknow, Apr 17 (UNI) Tata Chemicals Limited (TCL), a part of the Rs 80,000 crore Tata group, today launched 'Tata Paras' range of crop nutrients including Urea, Di Ammonium Phosphate, NPK and Single Super Phosphate.

Amalgamating the range of nutrients under the Paras brands and post-acquisition of Hind Lever Fertilisers units, the launch was announced by TCL Managing Director Prasad Menon here at a press conference.

The company has state-of-art-fertiliser complex at Babrala in District Badaun of Uttar Pradesh with a capacity of 8.64 lakh tonne of annual production while phosphatic fertiliser complex at Haldia in West Bengal.

Speaking about the huge potential in UP and this part of the country, Mr Menon said that the TCL had applied for enhancement in the capacity in its Babrala plant to 11.55 lakh tonne per annum.

He said the newly launched crop nutrients included all variants of the inorganic fertilizers.

The TCL MD said that as a strong initiative the comapny has set up 'Tata Kisan Sansar,' where all the technical and other inputs for the farmers were avaialable. It has been functional in 12,000 villages with contract farming also one of endeavours of the Tata company.
