Tara Chand condemns terrorist attack on ex-speaker

Jammu, Apr 17 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Speaker Tara Chand strongly condemned the militant attack on former speaker and Member of Parliament Ali Mohammad Naik at Tral in the valley today.

The Speaker described the attack as barbaric by the ultras and said nothing can be achieved by targeting innocent people. He advised the gun-wielding persons to shun the path of violence as it results in destruction and bloodshed only.

Mr Tara Chand expressed sympathies with Mr Naik and prayed for his speedy recovery. Legislators Mohammad Sayeed Akhoon, G M Jan and Sham Lal Sharma have also condemned the attack.
