Rupee opens stronger at 45.11/13 per USD

Mumbai, Apr 17: The rupee today opened stronger at 45.11/13 per US dollar against the previous close of 45.18/19, said a foreign exchange (forex) dealer here.

Rupee traded at 45.14/15 at 1130 hrs.

Crude oil price in the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) hovered around USD 69-70 per barrel at 69.87 per barrel which could put rupee under pressure.

However, a brilliant run in the stock markets this morning which shot up by 251 point at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index to 11,488 points was supporting rupees stronger opening.
