Raichur records highest maximum tempeature of 38.8 deg celsius

Bangalore, Apr 17 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today. Rainfall occurred at many places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Jagalur, Kottur, Hosadurga 8 each; Annigeri, Hunsur 7 each.

Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Gudibande 5; Yeragatti, Manvi Tiptur, Huliyurdurga 4 each; Gadag, Kukanoor, Bevoor , C.R.Patna, Holalkere, Turuvakere, Bagalkote 3 each.

Maximum temperatures fell appreciably at most places over North Interior Karnataka and at many places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at many places over South Interior Karnataka; below normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka and were however above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 38.8 degrree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over South Interior Karnataka; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
