Polling continues till 2100 hrs in Keshpur
Kolkata, Apr 17 (UNI) Polling continued till around 2100 hrs in a booth at Neradeul in Keshpur in West Midnapore district tonight.
According to reports, over 95 per cent polling came from the region.
Polling was interrupted due to a sharp shower in the evening and thereafter polling continued unabated. By 1700 hours 1100 voters had cast their votes, according to reports.
But the remaining voters waited patiently to cast their ballot.
The booth has 1344 voters.
Keshpur has a violent political history and is considered a bastion of the ruling Left Front and the opposition in the state have in the past complained of mass rigging in these areas.
