Mah completed rehabilitating Narmada dam project affected: CM
Mumbai, Apr 17 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said the state had fulfilled its responsibility of rehabilitating the project affected due to the construction of the Narmada dam.
Talking to reporters at the luncheon meeting hosted by Petroleum Minister Murli Deora for Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy, Mr Deshmukh said the issue of delay in rehabilitating the Narmada dam oustees pertained to Madhya Pradesh.
''I only said the people affected due to the increase in the dam height be rehabilitated before the work begins'', he said responding to his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi's criticism against him.
