Lightning kills 16 in AP

Hyderabad, Apr 17: Sixteen people, including three children, were killed by lightning in five districts in Andhra Pradesh yesterday officials sources said today.

They said four people, including two women were killed in Nalgonda district while three lost their lives near Cheryala Village of Medak District. The mishap occurred when they were returning home from the fields.

Three children were killed near Amraram village of Rajam mandal in Srikakulam district, and one in Hyderabad city.

Two people died in Mahaboobnagar, one in Krishna and two others killed in Nellore districts.
