HC directs to construct slaughter house at particular site

Ranchi, Apr 17(UNI) Jharkhand High Court today directed the state government to start constructing slaughter house immediately at selected site in the capital town.

The court has also directed the secretary, urban development department, to consult the finance department, the deputy commissioner, the state pollution control board and the Ranchi Municipal Corporation and submit the progress report by May 17.

A division bench consisting of Justice S J Mukhopadhya and Justice M Yeqbal passed the order after hearing a public interest litigation.
